Jo Rowling, I love and love you. I'm torn between hopeless admiration and hysterical laughter this morning.

Don't you just want to hug that brilliant woman....that's right, you already have! You needn't be self conscious, Melissa-you're SO ATTRACTIVE. Every time I see your pictures, I start fanning myself! :o)

That is really funny!
Wait...she thought Memerson was a joke?

Wow... Thank you Jo! Finally someone who I look up to...says something about this. You are truely a wonderful woman. Who shows using your brain, is much more "stylish" than what you are wearing. I applaud you!
And thank you Melissa for being such a great rolemodel. You are mine! You're brillant, talented, gorgeous, and kind! You are all the things that I inspire to be! Thank you! :)

Jo deserves a standing O for that one. I myself am what you would call a "large" girl. It drives me mad when these skinny little people start talking about "how fat I am, blah blah blah." I just want to reach over and smack them! They don't know the first thing about being fat!
Anywho, I am glad that someone whom I look up to has finally said something about this problem that this world is facing. Makes me feel a whole lot better about myself!!
And I agree with Lizzie! Thanks, Melissa, for being someone that we can look up to, that is actually "human" and not some celebrity. Not that you aren't celebrity material! You are a celebrity to us!! :)

I love that JKR writes about issues like this and thankful to you Melissa for letting us know she has.
As a man I really hope my 2 young niece's understand that there is so much more to being a woman then the numbers on a scale.
Although they have not read Harry Potter yet I hope they do some day and they can look up to women like you and JKR who have show a woman can have the total package, heart, soul, brain and body.

I just finished listening to PotterCast, and I had no idea it was you who wrote the LM Wall of Shame. You totally fooled me, I thought it was Andrew. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that this:
Dear Harry...get your prescriptions for free! Viox! Allegra! Pharamacy Online
Where were you before book five? - Harry
was one of the funniest things I have ever read. Made my April Fools Day.

jo rowling is amazing *sigh*. I loved that thing in the Extra stuff, and the memerson thing...that was the best april fools joke ever for someone who's been following the fandom since it began. Great job!

I love Jo! I love Jo! Melissa you are not the only one. She eloquently surmised everything I have been feeling for years, frustration with a world that refuses to accept/admire a person based on character and intelligence and forces women and girls alike to doubt their self worth. Thank you Jo!

Hello Melissa,
I listened to your LOST podcast and it was /GREAT/. I think you, Andrew, and John did an awesome job with presesnting what you thought during each commercial break. I enjoyed the funnyness too, =]. Also, I wanted to mention that there is an "Official LOST Podcast" by the exective producers of LOST on itunes and there is another great fan LOST podcast called " The LOST Podcast with Jay and Jack". Enjoy!
