John is here visiting, and so we decided to be completely insane for New Year's. We're going to Times Square. Gotta do it once in your life, right?
Yesterday, though, I was lucky enough to get us up to see the NYE Ball at a viewing party, where we met The Killers, who are performing tonight in Times Square. We also saw the volunteers blowing up, BY HAND, the several thousand balloons that will be dropped on everyone at midnight. It was the awesome. Pics here:

I got to go to Times Square for the "millenial" New Year. Despite being SUPER crowded (both Broadway and 7th were backed up 5 blocks each when I got there at 2:30pm) it was one of the cooler things I think I've ever done.

wow john looks really creppy in those pictures espesially the Chipotle ones he looks like he'll bite some ones hand of if they get to close but still he's the best.

I enjoyed your pictures from New York City very much! I am commenting on your blog all the way from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada! I watch the New Years events in Times Square every year on new years, and it was a pleasure to see all the pictures you had taken. I got a better feel of what the true atmosphere of the event was! It truly is something everyone needs to do in their lifetime! Have a happy New Year! (Sorry this comment is rather late!)
