No matter whom you vote for, VOTE:

Remember what JK Rowling said to the Harvard students: "Even your nationality sets you apart. The great majority of you belong to the world's only remaining superpower. The way you vote, the way you live, the way you protest, the pressure you bring to bear on your government, has an impact way beyond your borders. That is your privilege, and your burden."

Well, I can't vote in the US elections. But I've been an Obama Booster since December 2006. I've read so much about this guy and I just love him. And, frankly, I really want him to pick Governor Kathleen Sibelius for his VP; that just seems like destiny to me. And I want him to invite JKR to his Inauguration. Gosh! Two preteen girls in the White House ~there will have to be an Inaugural Ball for children. Wouldn't it be great if it had a Harry Potter theme? Expecto votum!

In my opinion, the voting age should definitely be lowered. While I am only 15, I feel that I am much more involved in the political process than many others double my age. Why should youth not have a say in the future of the country when so many people refer to youth as the future of the country?

That part of the commencement address really stuck with me though; Jo has such a great way with words.

PS: I'm one of the many new readers you will acquire by mentioning penbitten on PotterCast 156... I've already subscribed to John's YouTube channel because of it!

I'm 16 and I live in the UK, but I've been interested in the politics from both sides of the pond for a while (wow...I found a use for that phrase e_0).

I was rooting for Mrs Clinton but hey... Obama is just as cool.

As a registered Republican, I appreciate you and the WROCK folks keeping your encouragements to vote non-partisan. We are so lucky to live in a country where we can participate as actively as we want in the election of our government.

I will always remember the images out of Iraq after their first election. The Iraqis literally risked their lives to vote, and were so proud to display their blue ink-stained fingers. All we have to do is visit our local polls.

God Bless America.
