I've been spending some time this morning (procrastinating, more like) looking at photography galleries on the Web. I'm no photographer but I love the art; I particularly love when a picture shifts our perceptions, makes us understand what it might feel like to be an inch tall, or sixty feet high, or a bird, or a child. That's why I love this simple pic of tulips my old roommate took outside our house, and this one my sister took at fourth of July last year.

This morning I've found some great stuff on PBase.com - my favorite is (surprise) Milk Meets Coffee (and her followup, Color Collision), because it's created a whole different world out of these little moments to which we don't usually pay attention. Then there's Siem Reap, a gorgeous gallery choosing such life and hope in such simple lives.

There are plenty of other worthwhile galleries there - I took a trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights, and Prague, just because, all this morning. Fun stuff.
